It is called democracy, deal with it. I had to.

295881_554598034569654_1609123923_nDo you remember a recent election, where the red states took the country into a roller coaster of bullshit and tears… the greatest part of which was the fact that I was right about WMDs not being “[…] in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat”? [defense.gov] Well I sure as fuck do. A pretty clear case can be made for such a travesty of an election leading to me not wanting to ever vote again, but I stuck it through and have voted in the 2004, 2008 and now in the 2012 elections.

2000 and 2004 left me, and apparently the country, pretty sore. Most of us (at least in the blue states) are tired of the control that the red states wield over our country’s direction and took the opportunity to align behind Obama in 2008. In the spin up and winning of the presidency the Tea Party took flight and complicated matters, splintering the us v. them mentality… which lead to this bullshit:

Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas have all received signatures and filed petitions via the White House’s “We the People” website.

The signatures on these petitions keep rolling in, many already reaching 10,000. Despite the unlikelihood of any of these requests being honored, thousands of people are unhappy and are desperately trying to “save themselves” from four more years of Barack Obama and his administration. Given the fact that half of the country voted for Mitt Romney, it is beyond clear that people are really unhappy with the election results.

[Examiner Nov. 13, 2012]

In what way is this acceptable behavior? Bush takes the election by chance and or corrupt practices and the country frowns and bears it… but Obama takes office in an unreasonably close election against a professional liar by slim but clear margins and now these states get to secede because some subset of their citizens decide they are uncomfortable with the choice the country has made for its president?

How about no, and shut the fuck up.

Pitch a bitch when bush wins and you are treasonous scum. Obama takes office and you have to dig a bomb shelter to survive until Fallout 3 becomes a reality.

Get fucking real.

You get to deal with it for four more years, until your party puts another unelectable shit stain of a candidate into a position to have close margins again. I hope you never get the opportunity to be angry about your president taking your country to war without putting it on a credit card and without disclosing it in his budget. I hope you never get to deal with a president who outright ignores the fact that he represents the entirety of her nation, and not just the portion that elected him. I hope that you never get to experience the opposition having to lie and deceive to be able to win an election.

if the worst thing you ever have to deal with is semi-socialized health care and a large deficit I think you are going to be better off than I.
